1. Early communication to media outlets, marketing companies and relevant industry influencers is key to gaining fast and cost effective coverage  for your new business launch. I suggest giving yourself at least 3 months before your official launch date to ensure you have enough time to generate the conversations, and interest well in advance.

2. Contact popular bloggers, social media people with high followers or high-profile customers by sending out samples of your product / or maybe free trials of your new service in exchange for reviews, this can generate excitement and sales during and after you start trading.

3. Start developing your own social media pages. Identify and research your target market so you can tailor your communication directly to their interests. If your product / service can reach an already established and niche market it will be easier for you to find your perfect customer.

4. Consider going to trade shows in your business sector to meet people and maybe exhibit.  A well organised trade show can be a great way to finalise months of solid marketing groundwork, and act as the catalyst to push your business to an even wider audience. Make sure to invite the appropriate influencers, social media stars and potential customers. 

5. Make time to develop your brand, marketing materials, and interesting videos to use across social media and other traditional marketing platforms.

6. Ensure your website is live and fully updated making it easy for people to learn about your product / service, linking your wider marketing with free trials, downloads, product videos and more.

7. Focus on the parts of your business that drive sales. 

8. Review your service / sales every 8 weeks and if needed consider refining your model or offering - consider the seasons and events to help drive your marketing.
