How to Manage Your Marketing Time to Increase Productivity
In terms of making your business a success, marketing is crucial. When done correctly, it drives sales by creating and/or boosting awareness of your brand. But how do you market your business when you are busy with other tasks?
An effective marketing plan is essential for helping you manage the time you spend on this activity, so you can focus on day-to-day business operations and optimise your productivity.
Start by setting your goals
Ask yourself: What is the purpose of your marketing campaign? What do you want/expect to achieve? How do you want your brand/business to connect with your target audience? What action do you want your audience to take?
Once you have identified your goals, you can begin to map out your marketing strategy.
Make lists
Organisation is key. Create open-ended and daily to-do lists so you can clearly identify tasks, prioritise them and check them off as they are completed. Success rarely comes to you; you need to be proactive in terms of decision-making and action-taking.
Utilise online tools
Use analytics tools to assess the impact of your marketing methods. For social media marketing, content calendar tools are a practical way to manage your time as they allow you to "bulk-upload" content and schedule post dates.
